It's been a good year 2006..Welcome 2007!!

Do you ever had that "period" of time on the last day of the day that you'll sit down & recall the year and make your resoulutions while having that deja vu feeling that you've done this before and hey...the resolutions usually last till end of January?? Well I did just that this morning!Woke up pretty early this morning (which is pretty rare unless I have something to do)..I guess it could be the bed..Yes..I am back in Melaka!

This year had been quite a rollecoaster ride for me. In many parts it was pretty much a rough ride both emotionally & spiritually. On the outside things did look good for me, I had settled down in my new apartment which I can say is about 90% furnished the way I planned it.(a bit more deco, maybe painting a featured wall and a washing machine would do the trick!), I am more confident now in my job, I did not much financial worries and so on..I guess in many sense I led a pretty much care freed life & was lucky compared to many others I know..but yet many times I felt not satisfied. In the end of 2005, my 3rd cycle of life was just beginning (First being school days, second being college days and 3rd is getting into the working world) so when it came to2006, I was still feeling my way around, my new job, living out of home and my new LIFE! I didn't have much time then to do much reflecting nor did I made any resolution except to gain a firm grounding in my job & to get promoted within a year (still hoping)..

However, this year, even before December, I had made some plans for next year, mainly my holiday plans, taking up diving & my career path. Yesterday during church service I realised (not a big surprise there la) that I've been quite far from God since I went to KL. It's true you know, the city life can really make you or break you; physically, financiall, emotionally or spiritually. I have realisaed throughout the year of this fact but gave the excuse that I couldn't find a church to fit in. I guess I was also holding to the days as an activie member in my hometown church but I have to let it go, move on and start afresh in a local church. I lost count of the number of times that I have recommited myself to God and yet I always fall short of my expectation and maybe His too. But I know that he is still there for me whenever I call out and in times where I doubt myself on this matter, He always send someone to remind me that He loves me and that He is always beside me, ready to hold my hand.

I know this time my blog is a little more spiritual & usual but that is my main resolution for next year..that I want to get back on the road that I have strayed away from..I know from experience now that I shouldn't be over ambitious ( I have thousands of ideas running in my head) but to take this slowly at a time. So I would appreciate if you could pray for me to make sure that I would be able to keep this resolution (it will be first for me) Haha

It's raining now....

Alright...this is my third time trying to type this (hopefully) short update! Arrrghhh at first I was all fire up to write and after a few lines, my com battery died. The second time it was..well my fault lar..i accidently closed the window..So let's hope this stays..well here goes....

I'm back again! Phew after a short period of MIA (oh alright I guess that was understating it..) I feel quite fired up to start blogging again..For those skeptics who think I'll MIA again..well I'm here to prove you wrong and also to state my reasons for keeping quiet all this time. You can call it procrastination but I'll call it a quest for perfection. Maybe I was a little too ambitious trying to learn html language (for who knows what) so that I can put up a slightly nicer (ok..understating again..) a waayyyy nicer blog than my current one and also learning how to add in pictures (see I told you I don't even know the simplest thing about blogging!).

Ok enough about me welcoming myself back (which reminds me of this song called Welcome Back by Mase..it was mainly about him singing a song welcoming him back to the music industry) so you get my drift lar! Ok a quick summary of what's major (or not tat major but something different from my ordinary life in an ordinary day)been happening since Feb till now..

Went to Pulau Perhentian for a 4D/3N stay in Perhentian Island Resort..it was goooorrrggeeeouuusss! The beach was so clean and white and the sand was so fine..you could see fishes swimming up at the shore and even encountered a stingray or two near the shore line. We went for snorkeling at the beach area (you don't really have to swim far to see some corals n hundreds of fish) and also the deeper area (which had more corals & much much bigger fishes). Where we stayed, the next resort was called Coral Beach Resort. It really lived it to it's name caused it had many coral areas even at the shallow end. So we spend nearly half a day exploring that area and feeding the fish (the fishes there were really fierce..one of it even bit Johnny's leg..guess he must have thought it was some kinda food lar). Most of my pics are gone except those that I have uploaded earlier ( my com HDD crashed and I didn't make any backup copies!!! )

JULY

Went for a minor operation due to a parotid growth near my jaw line. Well it's been there for a few months which all the while I thought was just a swollen limp node. Due to a friend's urge (thank Giap!), I went and had it check it out. Turns out it was a growth which the doctor assured me is benign but necessary to remove. It seems that it's pretty common among women in their 40's-60's. Hey I'm not that old but who knows, maybe I am more matured than my age (Haha yea right...and yea I can hear you laughing your head off!). Anyway I came out of the OT (Operation Theater) in one piece but veryy blurr. The doc had cut a pretty long line down the side of my neck and part of my outer ear (it's not as gross as it sounds) and took about 35 stitches (so I guess it can be considered a major op la). And so I was on MC for a month (half back in Melaka..one of my longest stay at home since I came to KL) and a pretty good rest! (Will upload the pics once I get it)

AUGUST

Mom just turn the big five-O. Was planning to give her a nice holiday but haven't had enough to save for a cruise ticket for her yet...my apt is totally draining my wallet! Anyway we had a nice family dinner (it's been a while since I join any family dinners anymore :( Something I miss very much but usually I can't make it back for it). Anyway the pics for it also is lost foreveer!! Sighhh WHY DIDN'T I BURN A COPY!! arrghhh learn a lesson from me...always burn a copy of your pics once you upload it into you com.

SEPT-NOV

Nothing much happen in my life but the world around me had changed and I didn't realise that. I always thought that our country is safe, secured and we are getting better economically..(well maybe not the last part lar) but much to my chagrin, I realise the racism in our country is getting worse. It's not that it just happen..I guess racism has always been in us whether we are Chinese, Malay, Indian, or any other race but now it's getting so vocal. Guess I better come up with a back-up plan fast!

DEC

I am officially a quarter of a CENTURY old!!!!OMG...sighhh how time flies..especially when you are getting older.. but it's a special year for me & mom caused I am exactly half her age!! WOW..imagine she gave birth to me when she was my age! Me???! I'm not anywhere near getting engaged..not that I plan to anytime soon..but I guess our generation is different from our parents as theirs was from their parents. Now, we got so much we can and want to do before we settle down. For me, I want to travel, take diving licence, go for adventure holidays, try out extreme sports (not all!) and find my purpose & ministry in life before I'll make a decision to settle down. Oh and another thing happened this month..exactly on my birthday! CHARLENE got married!!! The first youth to say the biggest 2 big words you'll ever say in your life... I DO!! It was a simple wedding but nice because so many people came to celebrate the big day with her! (will post some pics when I get them). Me and Charlene go way back since Form 1. We were the first group of youth from Bethel Church together with Andrew, Hebert, Harvey, Wee Lien, Jay Mi, Shi Na, Nicholas, Matthew, Chester, Mabz & Nette.

So basically that's it! Haha I told myself I'm gonna keep this short but look what happen larrr...From raining to stop raining, from bright to night...but I really enjoyed penning this down while sitting in my office pantry, listening to the rain..too cold inside my office area..and also I can think better while breathing fresh air! Alright gotta go..everyone's gone..Cheerrioooo!

Sitting on a Saturday afternoon ...

I decided it's time to add in a new entry although there is nothing much to say yet there is so much to tell. Hehehe. I'm sitting here on a hot Saturday afternoon in a book cafe while having my lunch, checked my mail and then I decided why not just write down a few lines in my blog to update my peers on the going-ons of my life as this is the ONE and ONLY reason why i started this blog thing. For those of you who know me well you know I rather sit down and chit chat over drinks or talk on the phone (both expensive ways of communicationg) then to sit and write down what's up in my life. I use to sit at least one a week (for a month of so) and write emails to sent it out to all my frenz not to bore them with my life story but mainly as a form of communication - to keep in touch and tell them "Hey I have not forgotten you YET!!!" However, I felt a blog is much better, firstly those I won't be filling up your mailbox space and secondly well..uhhh can't think of anything else!!

I have gotten my car back! YIIPPPEEE!!!!! It looks totally brand new - sorry no pics to show you: but the interior is not that great. Actually it was worse when I first got back my car. I had to return to the workshop twice to send my car for repair (FOC of course) which delayed an extra 2 days - meaning another 2 days to try and get a cab to pick me up from my place! Thank God for the cab service operator here. If the cab system here is anything like Melaka I think it would be faster for me to walk over to my workplace - roughly 10km from where I live.

As I was looking at my friends' blogs I notice that mine is much more wordy and long while their's are fillled with pictures or songs. Hahaha Johnny is beside me now and he thinks I am writing an essay - I get hint!

Oh ya..about CNY. It was pretty ok. Kinda felt diffrent this year since it's the first time I am not so involve with my family activities in preparing for CNY and also the first time to be going back to my hometown during this festive season. Of course my ang pow collection has depreciate tremendously and I (although not married yet) started giving ang pows! Haha no obligations and it felt good to give it away. I went out with a fren as mentioned by him on his blog and yea vince it was good sitting down and catching up on each other's lives. The next day my frenz came over to my place as we do every year and as like every year not all 5 of us were able to meet up at the same time but then better a few than none. It was great seeing my best friends again after so long especially one of them now in Melaka. The youth in my church came during the first day but I was totally knocked out. Guess it's the weather. Phew! Melaka is a really really HOT place and since in KL I don't get this kinda humid weather, I usually feel not too good when I go back there. Was so sad that I wasn't able to meet up with them as I have not seen most of them for months already - could be lesser than that but it feels longer. So ya..that was basically my CNY! I was back in KL after the 4th day! Did some house cleaning and *PoOOOFFF* my 1 week holiday was gone. Then it was back to my hectic but yet enjoyable life.

Ok tat's it...Missing you guyz!! Muakz Muakz -

CNY, HOME and MY REVIEW!

Yeaaa CNY is here soon..not tat I really am in the mood..but hey the most important thing is a WHOLE week of holidays! Yaaahhoooo... I have now come to understand why working adults are sooo happy when there's a holiday coming up. During my uni days it was nothing big coz I guess during coll/uni days we do have lotsa free time thus having more free time it not such a big deal. Okay, I guess for those who studies outstation then it's a time to go back to hometown, back to homecook food, comfy bed, meeting up old frenz n yada yada yada..but when you are working...hmmmm tat's a whole diffrent world altogether. Not only do you appreciate the free time given to you to relax or catch up with some sleep but also a great time to go home to GOOD home cook food (I do cook..which is improving but nothing is as good as MOMMY's food!!!) and the familiarity of your house. I have grown up in my house for 14 years and only lived at my new place for like 4 month..so there is nothing to compare although I must say my bed here in KL is waaaayyyyyyyyy much better than home since my bed was given to my lil bro and his lumpy one to me. But looking at it, it doesn't matter since I alwayz go back and bunk in my mom's room and chit chat with her the wholeeeee nighhhttt...never thought my mom could stay up till 4am and wake up about 9am..now tat's wat my bro would call POWDERFUL! hehehe

Sighhh my review is coming up! I can't believe I have already been working in this company for nearly 3 months. One of my longest record since I started working..hehehe can you imagine, 3 diffrent companies in 5 months! *tsk tsk* . Back to my review, I have been hearing horror stories from my collegues that have been working here long. But hey, the head of my department is pretty happy with me and that I have only been working here for 3 months, there is nothing much for them to comment right?? I do hope so ;)

Just realised that I have still do touch up my post mortem for Nestle..juz when I thought there would be one of those rare days when my boss is not around and there is nothing much for me to do!:) oh weell....cheerrrs!
